We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Planning Manager to join the Alstom team and work on some of Australia’s largest public transport projects based in Sydney.

In this role, you will be responsible to develop and maintain the project schedule in order to efficiently manage the time commitments of the project and to ensure that all project planning tasks are carried out in accordance with Alstom Transport internal rules, project needs, and contract requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, issue and update the Programing Plan, setting out processes, rules and templates for the Contracts programme requirements
  • Produce and update the Master Programme, encompassing the contract requirements, milestones and completion obligations
  • Analyse and detail all the logical sequence with subsystems, project testing and commissioning functions
  • Lead the programme impact assessment against modifications and variations, collaborating with Commercial to ensure completion of the MIP process
  • Coordinate various product lines programmes for main activities, including major milestones for inputs and deliverables.
  • Evaluate Programme Opportunities and implement mechanisms for continuous improvement with our customer on programme matters.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (ideally Engineering)
  • Previous experience working on complex multi-discipline projects, preferably in a rail environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Primavera P6
  • Previous experience developing complex programs for tenders as well as managing delivery programs
  • Team oriented with strong communication skills
