The PTA is seeking qualified overhead engineers at Level 5 and Level 6 to provide overhead engineering support to the Network and Infrastructure Division, including various METRONET and major infrastructure projects. We have a range of engineering positions to fill on a permanent and fixed term, full time basis.
Our Overhead Engineers (Level 5) provide engineering advice and support for the maintenance, design, construction, upgrades and modifications of 25kV Overhead Line Equipment. Checks and reviews the operational performance of all the Overhead Line Equipment systems including the planning and scheduling of all maintenance and repairs and provides recommendations to the Principal Electrical Engineer
Our Senior Overhead Engineers (Level 6) are responsible for the provision of engineering expertise for the maintenance, design, construction, upgrades and modifications of 25kVAC Overhead Line Equipment. It also reviews the operational performance of all the Overhead Line Equipment system including the planning and scheduling of all maintenance and repairs and provides recommendations to the Principal Electrical Engineer.
All applicants are also required to be in possession of a tertiary Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised by the Institute of Engineers Australia. You will also need to have well-developed communication and problem solving skills as well as the ability to organise your work to meet agreed targets.

This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which permanent full time appointments will be made within the next 12 months. Offers may be made on a permanent or fixed term basis with possible extensions and/or permanency.
