Reporting to the Track Maintenance Supervisor, could you be our next Way Maintainer?


About the role

  • Carry out maintenance work of a specialised nature related to V/Line’s rail infrastructure and facilities.
  • Participate in renewal of track work and crossings such as sleepers, rail, ballast and fastening.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with appropriate OH&S standards and regulations.
  • This position will require you to work Monday to Friday with some overtime and weekend work as required.
  • You may be required to work at other locations and therefore need to be proactive when working autonomously.


About you

  • You will have strong verbal and communication skills
  • You possess a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Proficient with the use of hand tools and possess a strong awareness for risk and safety practices in the workplace.
  • Thrive in a team environment
  • Previous experience in labouring or trades is essential for this position
  • A current valid Victorian drivers licence is essential.
  • Willing to undertake further training in Track Awareness.
