About the Project
The Monash Freeway is in Melbourne’s fast growing south east and outer south-east region and the $761M design and construct project will expand the Monash from eight to 10 lanes slashing nearly ten minutes off the morning peak hour commute and better connect the Monash to Eastlink.
Works include the addition of 36 kilometres of new lanes to the Monash Freeway, upgrading the Beaconsfield interchange with new freeway ramps, the extension and widening of O’Shea Road and the roll out of the Freeway Lane Management System to better manage traffic flows.
Construction commenced early 2020 and is due to be completed in 2022.

We are currently seeking applications from Community & Stakeholder Relations Advisors to manage and provide advice to the project on communications, community relations and stakeholder relations. Work according to the communications program and stakeholder management plan which provides project support by projecting a strong and positive image of the Project to the community and key stakeholders and manages stakeholder issues.
As Community & Stakeholder Relations Advisor, you will be accountable for:
- Support the Community Relations team through managing internal and external communications, engaging with the community and marketing activities
- Assist in the development of projects Communication Plans in line with project corporate strategy and cultural objectives
- Provide communication advice and support to project managers which contribute to effective engagement with customers and the community
- Provide high quality, effective and timely management of engagement activities related to the projects development and construction program, including the preparation and delivery of effective community meetings and discussion with groups
- Deliver a range of communication materials to meet the needs of each community and its stakeholders
Requirements for this role are:
Bachelor Degrees, Certificate or relevant experience in Public Relations, Journalism, Stakeholder Management or Marketing
Demonstrated experience in communications & stakeholder management for major infrastructure projects
Experience in leading project or specialist function activities
Relevant experience gained within major organisations - relevant sector, government or consultancy
