The Project

The $2.4 billion Parramatta Light Rail will connect Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia with a 12-kilometre, two-way light rail track. Parramatta Connect (CPB Contractors and Downer EDI Joint Venture) has been engaged by Transport for NSW to complete the construction of the light rail track, roadworks, stop platforms, and transport interchanges at Westmead, Parramatta CBD and Carlingford. Upon its completion the light rail will transport 28,000 people every day to key destinations, new communities and essential services. It is expected to open in 2023.

The Opportunity

Based at Parramatta this role will deliver a high level of HR support for the project. You will provide HR advice and guidance whilst assisting with the ongoing maintenance and implementation of HR policies and processes. You will also manage any performance management issues and associated HR projects of work such as remuneration review.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant experience as a HR Advisor, ideally within a project environment
  • Ability to partner with your business and provide risk rated advice
  • Knowledge of employment legislation, including government policy
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Process-oriented with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team
  • Degree or Post-secondary school training or TAFE certificate in HR, Business or other associated disciplines.
