The Role In this role you will operate Public Transport Authority’s (PTA) computerised train scheduling and rostering system to generate reports as required. The successful applicant(s) will undertake train schedule modelling and provides plans/schedules for new services, line closures and special events. You will play a key role in coordination of some events to ensure successful delivery of planned services. Additionally you will conduct research and analysis of passenger trends and transit proposals to enable planning and development of future train services. You will have an understanding of and considerable experience in applying contemporary customer service principles as they relate to public transport operations. You will also have a proven ability to interpret and apply conditions of employment in Industrial Awards and Agreements within a rostering system. A demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the requirements of relevant standards and codes (Safe Working rules & Rail Safety Legislation) as it applies to the position is essential. There are currently two fulltime permanent positions available. As this is an operational position, you must be willing to work irregular hours including shift work and weekends from time to time.
