The Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) was established in 2015 to oversee the largest rail infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, including the elimination of 75 dangerous and congested level crossings across Melbourne. To date, 31 level crossings have been removed, 24 train stations have been rebuilt, new track has been laid, and eight new level crossing removals are now in construction. To continue this exciting work, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Utilities Specialist – Water to join the dynamic Systems & Controls team.

An exceptional opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced Utilities Specialist - Water to join the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), working on one of the largest infrastructure projects in Victoria's history.

Reporting to the Manager, Utilities, the Utilities Specialist – Water, will be responsible for assisting with strategic direction and building effective and collaborative stakeholder relationships with key water utility providers, to ensure work is prioritised and delivered in accordance with the project requirements. The position will also be responsible for managing complex utility interfaces, building strong relationships and collaborating with key utility providers, tendering and managing works contracts and ensuring that safety is of paramount importance in line with best practise processes and procedures.

Key to your application will be your proven ability in providing professional specialist expertise, in the utility sector. You will contribute utility asset and relocation advice and or direction to all stages of the development and delivery of complex or difficult major infrastructure projects to time, cost and quality requirements. This is also including the development of scope and assessment of feasibility and options.
