About the role: Aurizon is currently seeking applications from proactive, hardworking individuals who are able to work autonomously in the position of Customer Service Coordinator at our operations office in Kwinana. This position will be primarily responsible for effectively managing the key customer relationships for Bulk operations customers in the South West of Western Australia, and will be integral in the transformation of the business in the eyes of the customer. This role represents the key interface for the Business Performance function and the Regional Operations teams to ensure train schedules are met and world class customer service is delivered. In this position the successful applicant will be responsible for:
  • Act as first point of call for customers in the SW in relation to operational issues, incidents and communications
  • Manage SW customer weekly rail orders, variations and obligations for contracted tonnages
  • Ensuring any customer concerns are identified and progressed in a timely manner
  • Regular communication with key internal stakeholders from the Regional Operations, Live Run Centre and Business Performance functions
  • Analysis and trending of data relating to on-time running, train performance and business performance
To be successful in this position you will have:
  • A strong commitment to safety
  • Demonstrated planning and organisational skills
  • Extensive knowledge of logistics and scheduling to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to monitor business performance
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Excel
Previous experience in a supply chain environment would be an advantage and prior experience or knowledge of the rail or heavy haulage industry would also be preferred.
